Have you used Google Sketchup? It's a good tool for visualizing how something might look...a building/house in this case. If you go through the tutorials, you'll be drawing in no time. And that tools looks like it might extend the functionality of Sketchup by doing some sort of energy audit/analysis on a structure. Sketchup is free, too.

I would guess if Gene is asking about a Sketchup add-on, it would probably be over all of our heads. He's the Sketchup king around these parts.
