Anybody have any tops on skid proofing some PT treads. I know they make some type of tape but was wondering if there was a way to adhere some aggregate (sand blasting medium?) to the wood. I know it probably wont stay there forever with snow shovelling and such. Strips of silicone or poly clear caulk sprinkled with aggregate?

Paint stores should have some sort of traction paint, or an additive for regular deck paint.
I think I remember reading about a porch restoration in FH where the author used crushed walnuts and epoxy,
Your best exterior paint for PT lumber with play sand mixed in it. Put about a quart in a seperate bucket and add sand. Do a test patch and add more sand untill it is the texture you want.
