SKILL 77 – setting 90 on blade
@@@
Picked up a used 77V. The blade is not quite 90 degrees to the table. On my Bosch I just fiddle with the adjusting screw and make it so. On the Skill, there is no adjustment (or am I missing something).
Got any good fixes? Beat it with a hammer for a bit? File the slot down a bit?

That's always been a problem with the Skil. Check the bolt that holds on the table, often it is out too far and the table can't turn all the way.
Oops, that's for the 45. Best of luck on the 90.

Cutting stuff at 90 dgs is so cliche anyway. The ToolBear

On the skill there is a pointer that isn't very thin or sharp. I took a file to it and got a good point on it. Then I made a mark where 90* was. The skill just doesn't have an adjustable screw.
A couple of weeks ago I tried to rip a board with the blade at 45* and use the rip fence. It wouldn't work at 45*. The guard was in the way. I had to use my Makita.
