I used to use the sidewinders. I bought a Skil M77 worm-drive and I started to like the saw. The menu
says that the lubricant should be changed after the first 10 hours. That’s fine, but it doesn’t say how often I should change the oil after that.
It also says that I should check the oil level every time I use the saw. Do you check it every day? Please advise. Thanks.

Checkin' the oil once a week would be plenty (and about 52 times a year more than most guys check it).
*You mean to tell me my 77 has oil in it? Damn, better check that.....:-) Seriously though, what with all the sawdust, any oil leaks are going to be painfully apparent. Sam
