Depends on what you're cutting. Do you need the little extra capacity a 12" gives you?
Heard mentioned more than once that the 12" blades tend to deflect/wobble a bit. The only capacity lost with 10" SCM is a little depth/ thickness.
To explain what reinvent said, the further you go out on a blade the more vibration that occurs. Its a balance. If you do fine work the extra distance that the blade and shuttle covers in the 12 doesnt outweigh the quality of the cut.
If you are a framer a 12 might help more, so its a work/ choice call.
If you look at the specs you will see there isnt much of a difference in total cut length.

Check out the cutting capacity differences. The extra cutting capacity of the 12 is very little. I would go with the 10 unless you absolutely need the extra. The 10 also has less expensive blades and is lighter to haul around.
