I searched the site and no new postings for quite a while.
Thanks
I love my 4410! I've used it for about two months now and it is a dream machine. The adjustable handle is a feature I use a lot more then I thought I would. The micro-adjustment system (for overriding the preset detents) works well but is kind of a pain. Mine came completely square, with no adjustments needed. We have a Makita (very nice too), and the laser Hitatchi. Both work very well, however everyone seems to use the Bosch (mine) the most. The base extensions are very handy and sturdy, and all numbers are large and easy to read. The coolest feature, to me, is the bevel adjustment being right up front! All these features have spoiled me.
I too was looking at the Bosch 4410 and the Makita 1013. I read a couple of reviews on Amazon about the Bosch having a lot of slop in the blade due apparently to the head casting. I hear the Makita is very accurate and as I will use it mostly for finish and trim work and built in cabinets that is important to me. Has anyone experienced this?
I bought a "fixed" recon Bosch 12" last yr. Still has problems. Small off cuts will get airborne in no time..ferget cutting small returns.
The fence got whacked outta sq. firsttime it happend too..Tool KIng was useless in any remeadiation.......take it FWIW.

Hitachi cfm10, it is a racehorse. The laser is sweet, has more use's than you would think.
Jim,
It's the one I would buy if I were in the market. I might anyway in several months. I have the Makita ten inch which is a great saw but doesn't have the features that the Bosch does. I have other Bosch tools and have had good success with them. They build nice stuff.

They are heavy to be used mobile and expensive to be knocking around.
I like um in a shop tied down on a long table. Wonderful tools .

got one this summer...did 3 crown moulding jobs right away.... piece of cake. very happy with it. I have to decide on a portable stand, however. That's giving more grief than the saw decision! You will not be unhappy with the 4410.
Hjtachi 10 inch the cf10. I have worn one out and am on my second, this time the one with the laser, and I have to admit that I'm getting spoiled by it. It took 9 years to wear out the old one, and thats doing all sorts of trim and siding all day every day. Its accurate, rugged, and true. What I like to call an honest tool.
I've been running my Hitachi 10" slider for 10 years now, still dead-on, never had to adjust it...ever. I can't kill it!
Hitach c10 fsh here- dead on.

I haven't used the newer Bosch. I prefer the Milwaukee slidesaw over all the sliders I've used.Fairly light in weight, excellent fence. The fence is high and flips from square cuts to bevel cuts in a couple of seconds. The bevel and miter scales are very large, easy to see, you do not have to lean over the saw to see the bevel scale.
Swings 51° to the left, 59° right.Bevels from minus 3° to 48° with positive stops at 0 and 45°.You can lock the swing at any increment of a degree without jumping into a detent. This is especially handy when you cut 45 1/4 or other slightly more than a full degree.I found that this saw and the Makita are the only saws that I would buy. Do not care for the Dewalt, too heavy and lousy scales compared to the Milwaukee. Hitachi's that I used have puny fences and hard to read scales.I used a Delta, okay saw, wouldn't buy one.

No experience with the Bosch, but I love my Makita 1013.
