Good Day
I just rebuild some steps for a client’s front porch and rested the stringers on the existing cement first step. Now that same step is too shallow and they want me to enlarge the depth of the tread. No worries, just build a form around the old step to the correct dimensions and pour the muck. Except that there is a slope to that first step and I don’t want the step to come out level. So how do I pour concrete so it follows the slope of the existing step?

Just pour it reasonably stiff and screed and float uphill - not really a problem - even lots steeper than a step slope
