Many of the new decking manufacturers call for a slope on the deck for assisting drainage. Trex, timbertech, etc. call for a 1/4 inch per foot of slope. Doesn’t this seem excessive? On a 12ft. deck this would equate to a drop of 3″. I don’t know anyone who would want a deck that slopes like a flat roof…any comments…
