I’ve done multiple web searchs for a snow fence system which is both functional and attractive, and I’ve fulfilled the function but not the aesthetics. Everything I’ve found looks commercial, and I’m working on a log building on a ranch in Colorado. I’ve been adviced to go to european manufacturers and so my search continues. I’ve had great sucess here with this kind of problem so I’m rubbing the lamp and making a wish again.
Thanks

Do you mean snow guards? Like these.

I like the look of their cast bronze guard, but my client wants a fence system, and I feel a fence would be more effect with fewer units.
Thanks for trying, I like the look.
How about some western lookin thingies made of copper plate? Buckin horses, injuns, stage coaches etc. Cut em out and solder em down. Look heap good.
Be artsy.

I'm not artistic enough to do that either, but your idea about some curved shapes is good. Also I think a pine tree (pyramid) shape would work well.
Terry,
All I've ever seen are the commercial type fences. Have you considered using 1/8" cu bar or something of that nature and fabbing your own desigh. Martha may be on the right track. I'm seeing curves instead of the typical right angle fence system. The attachment system would seem to be the problem area.
You guys are saying the same thing I'm thinking. For once I'd like to find something off the shelf that meets my needs, but I guess that if that was the case my clients wouldn't need me. You're right on saying that the attachment is the proplem. The best systems I've seen have cast solid bronze cubes, the problem is they are just ugly squares. I guess I'll have to have some cast to my spec's. But before I do I'm going to look European.
While you're here Greencu, here's some pictures of a gazebo and finial I just built.
Also I was thinking, if you ever want to discuss a project please don't hesitate to contact me, my email is [email protected]

Nice work as always. You never fail to impress me. I do have a potential project coming up I'd like to get your opinion on. I know why the original failed, but I'm not sure what to change. I'll email some pics. Thanks.
