Where is the chart that shows projected wages?
Projected job growth is meaningless if it is for low paying positions. I know wages in my trade and area are far behind inflation.....
That would have to do with locale and supply and demand . The chart shows a shortage which the carps already knew it .
Another part of your answer is diversification as the article said . Remodeling carps who do several trades well are very sought after people . Many think they dont exist anymore . They do but they are getting scarus . As more time falls behinds us that type will be a rarity.

I hear that! In the last 5-10 years, real estate values have doubled, property taxes have doubled, gas went from $1.soemthing a gallon to up around $3. Natural gas went through the roof. Electricity rates have jumped 20% or so (more coming), etc, etc, etc.
That 2-3% raise at the end of the year isn't cutting it. jt8

Thanks for reminding me that the biggest mistake of my life was dropping out of college in 1973.
While I was there, I remember we figured out how to make those new computers type out a reclining nude woman, composed completely of x's and o's, on a dot matrix printer.
She was beckoning me to be Bill Gates and I refused her siren call.
Regretfully,
