Soffit ventilation

Somewhere, I saw detail for using “Corravent” brand venting under a horizontal board at the eave line for soffit ventilation. The horizontal board covered the corrigated material and all that showed was a shadow line. Was I dreaming? I cannot remember where I saw it.
