There seems to be dozens upon dozens of web sites dedicated to finding, calculating, and analyzing home sale prices in a region–be it MLS or Zillow or FSBO or the like.
One of the GREAT things about Fine Homebuilding (the magazine) is that they often quote actual prices. Which seems to be a rare thing at least in the home/building magazine world.
Is there anything like that online? Something that plots building costs throughout a region? I know there are just so many ‘it depends’ when it comes to figuring out building costs, but thought I’d ask in case there is some magical web site out there that tracks this kind of thing. ;o)

Neither one of this "tracks" the difference, but you can put in a zip code and it the other details of the probject.

The estimating books all have tables of multiplers for labor in different areas.
A couple of issues ago had a article on ball park estimating kitchen remodels and IIRC it has a region adjustment.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
I suppose there isn't a big demand to 'track' building costs and I suppose one could also argue that that is perhaps private data. Still, it'd be nice to have. ;o)THanks for those links, the second one seems relatively accurate (Well, as accurate as one could expect it to be).
