I know this is a boring question, but I would be grateful for any direction. I’ve been reading all the posts on insulation. Specially interested in Montana’s good experience with cellulose back in the Winter. I’m in the Richmond, VA area and am finding it hard to find suppliers of cellulose. I’m out of Regal’s range. Does anybody know of suppliers within a reasonable distance? The only one I know of (but haven’t talked to yet) is Applegate Insulation in Chambersburg, PA. They’re 200 miles away. The local Rental Works has a cellulose insulation blower. I haven’t seen it yet, but I can’t believe it’s powerful enough to dense pack to the 3-4 lbs/cu.ft that everybody says is required. Does anybody know where I can rent a machine? Other than that, is all cellulose the same, Regal’s or anybody elses?
My hat is off to you pros. Whilst it’s not rocket science, construction’s scientific enough to have to keep up with current research and you all seem to know exactly what that is.
