David, I wouln’t reccomend it. Besides being expensive, the stuff in Spandex is Lycra, which will degrade in sunlight. This is why your swimmsuits get all baggy after an active summer.

Although I'm unfamiliar with screens made of Spandex, I'm wondering is Dave might be interested in the vinyl-coated polyester mesh screen that stretches. It's advertised at being pet-proof, since it just stretches when they try to scratch it, according to a photo I saw in a magazine (FH, I think). It's called PetScreen by Phifer.

It's also 7 times stronger than regular fiberglas screening.
*Rufus, that must be the product I read about, given Lisa's comments. I checked out the link you posted and found that it doesn't come 72" wide. Thanks for your help though. I guess it's back to coated aluminum or fiberglass.Dave

I once read somewhere about a spandex fabric used for porch screens. Does anyone know of the product and where to find it? Please email if you have.
Thanks, Dave
