I’m told different things. Is it neccessary to vent a cathedral ceiling when using open cell foams such as icynene or corbond urethane? I’ve avoided venting with closed cell foams and there never has been a problem but am contemplating switching to open cell. Any pro and con opinions?

Ace, I've been gathering info on the same question you have and wonder if you've made any decisions. What I know so far (and sounds right to me) is that there is no venting required of vaulted ceilings but that the foam should be applied to the ceiling of a gable roof and the attic vented. I know that the Certainteed tech person said that non-venting would void their warranty but I've read other discussions that indicate that this may not be the end of time to do so. I have just received info from the corbond and icynene people that support the non-venting theory.
