From what I have read so far, closed cell seems better than open cell. Closed cell has a much greater R-value and is a better vapor retarder. I’d appreciate hearing what others have to say.

Larry: Foam in place polyurethane foam is closed cell and has a R rating range of 6.2 to 6.8.
