I'm in a toss up about it. Got a house coming up that has to meet energy star cert. Demilec is open celled, rep says it's better than closed if there's a leak, because I will see it. I'm not real sure about that reasoning...I'll be real interested to see what comes up in this thread. Outside of the gates the trucks were unloadin',

The weather was hot, a-nearly 90 degrees.

The man standin' next to me, his head was exploding,

Well, I was prayin' the pieces wouldn't fall on me.

Have you tried buildingscience.com (or something like that)?

Good to meet you at JLC.

We'll have to hook up sometime, we are close.

Yep I use it and I like the way Demelec open cell breathes but mostly just use it because it's immune to the air washing phenominon that plagues fiberglass and it lets me do sealed attics and reduces summer time through roof radiant heat transfer. And it's less expensive than Icenene in my market and we have a really great installer who I have had really good experiences with. In the future I'll continue to spray 8" in my roofs but move to a "flash and batt" insulation in my walls where they spray an inch and then go in and install batts over it. It air seals and also allows the electrician to fish wires with out trashing the drywall. I'm on vacation in San Francisco and checking BT at an internet cafe, sick or what? My website server crashed so we're moving the whole kit and kaboodle to a new server while on vacation. Hope to be back up by the end of the week if all goes well. Once we go up I'll continue to populate the "Green Building Construction Details" section with lots of good stuff. All the bestMichael------------------

Checkin' out the Haight, huh<G>Do you use Allied? Scott O'Hara? I'm interested in the Flash n Batt, sounds a little more in line with my budget<G> Outside of the gates the trucks were unloadin',

Compare to some places down here, it's a rider's safe haven up there.

Rode rte 7 or parallels to Burlington once, then took the ferry to Ny and rode to Lake Placid.

Maybe we'll bump into each other.

          Cheers[email protected]
