Sorry if this has been discussed to death –
I am looking for a plumb level and like the Stabila LA2PL (outdoor) level for the next stages of projects on my house. Is the 150* beam visible outdoors or do you have to have a detector? I get by using a Robo Toolz dot w/ remote control for doing foundation and slab layout but the line would be handier for small projects and let multiple users set forms rather than spending all day fighting over the laser dot.
I’m also moving indoors to finish work and thought the line would be great for lots of tasks and also I could still use the dot to layour pendant lighting and vent stacks.
So – any specific experience with this laser? Should I just wait and spend big coin on a rotary? Thanks!

I just bought a similar stabila laser, self level plumb line and horizontal line, got it at IHL in toronto for 75$, shaved 2 hours off deck framing. (how did i not have one before) anyway came with the red glasses and folding rule, perfectly visible outside even in bright sunshine.
i hope this addresses your question. i bought a 5'-8' stabila plate level for 75$ at IHL and that has been a huge money maker as well. beautiful tools.
