Hello All! This spring I will be building a combination 2 car garage/workshop.I live in Western New York with cold and wet winters. I want the garage to match the house I built in a very rustic setting in the forest on a hillside. The house is a timber frame with rough cut hemlock siding stained in a ceder color. I want to duplicate the garage to match the house. My problem is finding garage doors that are insulated and has a wood grain effect which can be stained to match the rough cut siding. Wood doors are out of my price range so I’m looking for an alternitive type door in a cheaper price range which is insulated and at least looks like wood to fit the rustic design. Please Help! Thanks Bob

Keeping HVAC systems within the conditioned enclosure can be tough without a basement; one option is to use plenum trusses for the roof, which offer a space for equipment and ductwork.
