I need to install a stainless steel backsplash over some ceramic tile. The homeowner doesn’t want any screws showing. I think my only option is construction adhesive or contact cement. Anyone have any suggestions?

if your going to clear caulk for a watertight seal, use the caulk. it will hold. I have done this in restaurant kitchens.
*I had one cut to neatly fit the outlets, etc. Used construction adhesive and it worked great.
*Fin, Just finished a completly SS restaurant kitchen and had some problems with PL Premiun const. adhesive holding to the SS. We switched to pure silicone which has all held so far.
*one thing to watch with stainless steel is that you may have a film of oil on it from the supplier who cut sheets. they use it to lubricate cutting tools. it has to be washed off or adhesives won't stick well.
