My stair builder is putting in our staircase and we were talking about the iron balusters he is going to be installing next week. He said he has tried all sorts of ways to install them(like forcing into tight holes, clear adhesive in the holes, epoxy, etc.) and still isn’t satisfied that he is doing it the best possible way. Since he isn’t an internet kinda guy, I told him I would throw it out to the fine folks here. Any tips? Thanks!

I think S.O.P. is epoxy...but I could be wrong.

I would think the epoxy would be good. I dont like the idea of forcing into a tight hole, eventually that will fail.

Epoxy. Can't beat it for strength in this application.
