Good afternoon,
I have not been here in a very long time and miss the tavern greatly. (family work etc) But as usual, I come looking for help. I am in need of a carpenter who knows stairs and railings. The stair railing is not structurally sound and is an eyesore. Now I don’t believe structural integrity is hard to accomplish unless you start with a house of cards…My house is a joy of half-built PO renovations which we are improving on. (Special thanks to Myron Ferguson and the 50 or so issues of FHB) and while my wife wishes to dump this place and move my obsesive-compulsive nature requires the job to be done correctly. To the chase, is there a (stair) carpenter from Winnipeg here, and if not what should I ask hiem or her.
Sincerely,
Bernie

Boy would this be a great place to insert an "Ace carpenter mike" story.
Is this thread a check by Andy to confirm that the master railer is no longer lurking?...

Make sure your saw is up to speed and your hammer handle has fresh wax.
O.K. I'll stop that was bad.
