I am looking for some type of reference manual/book, etc that lists common measurements. Common door height 6′-8″, bath light height, countertop ht/depth, etc. I understand some will be code related, is there anything out there that meets my wishes?
As I am a new builder I am trying to approach building with as much “book knowledge” as I can get. I try to adhere to the saying “A smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from the mistakes of others.” As a professional framer I have the basics but appreciate any knowledge I can learn rather than earn.
Thanks to all, happy & safe building.

Building Construction Illustrated by Ching published by Van Norstrand. I have the Arch Graphic Standards which is excellent but expensive, and I have the Graphic Guide to Interior Details from Taunton...I prefer the Ching book...I like the details a little better, and it covers the entire project, not just interiors. I bought the Taunton book on line recently (serch for a Free Books thread) and got it for about $3 because it was supposedly 'shop worn'. Looked to me like it had been thumbthed through about 2-3 times...I have seen a lot worse on the shelf at Barnes & Noble.
Do it right, or do it twice.
Another excellent one is " Timesaver Standards, A Handbook of Architectural Design " 1,300 Pgs. McGraw HillOn An Island By The SEA
