Does anyone have a ballpark cost (per square) for standing seam metal roof in the minneapolis area? I have a full second story addition coming up and I’ve never priced one out before… one potential sub I talked to said around $1200 – $1400 a square! Our client wants to consider it as an option (the new roof will be about 19 square), but that is out of the question. Since I normally pay about $300 a square for timberline 30’s installed, I was a little shocked…I certainly expect it to be more expensive, but 4x as much?

$700-1000/square here, depending on many things.
$800 minimum here, not uncommon to see up to $1400 for small cut up jobs.
And yes, 19 SQ is considered small.
