I have about 7 square of cedar shake to install high up on the gables and dormers. I would prefer to use a pneumatic stapler or nailer. Any recommendations? I’ve seen staples used, but what size and what type of coating, alkalyd? galvenized? etc?

I'd try reposting this question on the main board, but if it wuz me (and I ain't no builder) I'd used stainless steel nails...guess that's why I ain't a builder!!! LOL!!

Dear WG,
Welcome to Breaktime. You can get lots of information here, but make one mistake posting and you're toast. Fun eh?
I've put up acres of white cedar with 7/16" crown galvy staples. If you have red or live in a corrosive environment, go for stainless fasteners.
