First post on this new setup, here we go:
I mentioned this to Grant when he was doing my roof, there does not seem to be a starfish shower handle (s) on the market. Google it and you’ll get starfish cabinet knobs, draw handles, etc.
I’ve looked into making them myself, green sand and pewter casting is the initial thought. I’d prefer to buy them, you guys know of a source?

Doc, If I was presented with the need to find something unusual I first would contact someone that has unusual. Here's a place in Toledo. You never know. http://site.mawebcenters.com/hardwareunlimited/index.html It usually takes someone who has seen what you are talking about, maybe contact the Kitchen and Bath Show people. The fitting would be the hard part to match up, so you might be doomed to concentrate on plumbing suppliers only. In that case I would contact all the majors and then the "exotic" plumbing fixture companies. I take it you already have the guts installed.
edit:
There is also a hardware supplier here that I've done business with for a very long time.
They stock alot of swanky stuff. Also has a line of door knockers-might be brass. I believe this is a southern michigan artist that makes these products. If it has to be made, but you want someone else to do it-that might be a source. Email me and I can put you in touch.
Hey Cal,
Looked at their website and found cabinet knobs with a starfish shape. Sent them an email, I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks
Kevin
Doc, keep there phone number handy, I don't know what their online operation is like. I know they are nice and eager to help. The woman and young guy that answers the phone are easy to talk to. The owner sounds a little more distant (but in person, he's not-he's a good guy and they've got a nice operation. Been in biz for quite a while.
Best of luck.
Will do, thanks again.
