Anyone have recommendations for a steel toe work boot that is comfortable enough to wear all day and is ventilated? Solid leather boots make my feet swim in sweat.
Oh yeah, and I also want it in size 14.

try a scuba shop...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Or a canoe shop

I got some boots made by Wolverine that are like a nylon mesh with steel toes--seems like they would breath--haven't worn them yet. I think they came in sizes up to 14--mine are 11-1/2.
but better leather and keep them clean.

Try these, worn them for years. Super comfortable and breathable with the gore-tex.

Got a pair of steel toed sneakers from our friends at Wal Mart.
Not bad. My ST Wolverines are a bit clunky compared to these.
Even a size 14, but I have seen less and less 14s at the mart of late.
I'm a 13H (4E) and found the only steel toe boot thats comfortable is the Red Wing Boot. They have a web site and retail stores. If you want to try a pair they will order them and if you don't like them you don't have to buy them. They are a little pricey but if my feet aren't comfortable I'm not a happy person.
Nothing wrong with Red Wings. I've been buying them on Ebay. But today I got another B.A.Mason catalog. Some of their boots are Red Wings, but they don't tell you about it (25% cheaper than from Red Wing). Sizes, depending on style, go up to 16 EEEEEE (yup, 6 E's). 800-422-1000 if you want a catalog. They're also happy to take back anything that doesn't fit. Quality is good.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
