How/where is it that you wear them out? A sewing awl might extend life a great deal if you are just blowing seams.

*Try Diamondbacks..they're handmade, tough beyond belief, have more pockets than you'll ever need, come in a lot of different models and are light and washable. Usually advertised in Finehomebuilding or Carpenter Magazine. The guy who makes them will talk on the phone anytime and as a former Carpenter, knows what we need.I've got a set of Occidental Oxylights and a set of 7 bag leathers, with strongback suspenders and the whole 9 yards.would use the Diamondback Ultimate Framer set over them any day. These are REALLY good bags, I'm a Marine Pilebutt and we TRASH our bags. These last.

*I'm wearing a set of "Monster Bags" from Lowes...$49.00.These are perfect and I've hated every set of bags that I've ever owned up until now.blue

*Blue,I use the same bags. The only difference is I trim and do my own cabinet installs with them. My prior set of bags would end up giveing me a great deal of lower back pain after wearing them for an hour or so. After switching to the Monster set up, no more back pain. Maybe it has something to do with the way the back of the belt is contoured.

*Another vote for diamondback,Try a search on them, they have a website.I've had my bags from them for five years or so and they are still holding up well. My bags put in about 2500 hours a year. Its not that they are just durable, but they are comfortable and incorporate a back support belt similar to what you would wear when weightlifting. They aren't cheap but I would go through two of blue's monster belts a year. They are good value.Yes, Jim Skelton, the owner is all to happy to talk on the phone. Last time I talked to him he sent me a free buckle to replace the one that broke. They stand behind their product. It might be your last belt.Tom

*My back pains have decreased dramatically too Frank. The bags are balanced nicely on the sides and I load a few gun clips in a rear seperate pouch. Actually I gave one of the bags to my son and am really only using the left bag. On my right side, I'm using an electrician's tool pouch. I like the bags because I can get my hands in them easily, with gloves on (I always wear gloves).I also like the lightness of the bags. blue
