I need to find out what is the right forum for stonework. Can anyone help me. I need websites, forums, etc. to answer questions particular to designs (historical), traditions, old ideas that you won’t find in home and garden magazines. Basically anything about this kind of ART and I would greatly appreciate the referral. Thanks, JohnnyJ.

J J,
One website to check out >>> http://www.markarrowmasonry.com <<<. You'll find some very good examples of stone work on his site.
I too wanted to see a lot of stonework before I started my house..
I found the best way was to check out achitecture. If you want to know how there are a number of books on the subject but the best teacher is yourself.. start in the back where nobody can see and just go for it.. mine came out very nice and was actually much easier than I had expected..
