For those of you guys with a rolling mitre saw stand, how do you store it? It won’t stand up without rolling out away from whatever you lean it against and laying it down it hits the rollers and just takes up too much space.
Its a Delta model but I wonder if other ones faces the same need for something like a wheel lock or kickstand?
Any ideas?

I looked up the Delta stand - 36-136 or something like that? It looks a lot like my Rigid MSUV. Mine will stand up on end and not fall over - and its got a Dewalt slider bolted to it.
To be honest, mine didn't want to work until I finally gave up and read the directions on the thing - at least it was time for a last resort.
Some of the tubing on the Delta is bent. That is what, on the Rigid one, serves as a foot to where it will stand on its own.
Hi Greg,
I know what you are talking about as I have a Rigid MSUV as well that I bolted my table saw to. I love how it stands on its own but the Delta I have is an older model that you have to lean against something and chock its wheels. What a headache!
I'm not familiar with the Delta models. I have a Ridgid stand.
I had to drilll holes to get my Makita on it but it is awesome. The table folds down and locks and the legs swing in. It stands on end and does not fall or roll. When stored it Probably takes up a 2' by 1.5' area, and stands about 5' tall.
Also has both side extensions and rollers. which also stores under the table.
Do you always want to store it in the same spot? Garage w/ concrete floor?
What if you tapcon a cleat to the floor? Roll it over the cleat, stand it up & the cleat chocks the wheels.
Count me as another with the Ridgid.
Had it not been able to stand on its own, it woulda gone back to the store the same day.
If you just bought the Delta, that's what I would do.
Democrats.
The other white meat.
I have the same stand Mike, I just tap a piece of wood under it with my toe as a chock so I don't always have to have it in exactly the same spot. Never had a problem...
