Storing PEX in an unconditoned attic
Is it safe to store unused PEX in an unconditoned attic? The spools are still in the existing shipping boxes. I live in the midwest so I imagine attic temps fluctuate from below zero to well over 100 degress in the summer. Is there any danger of the PEX being damaged or gettng some sort of permanent “memory” in this sort of enviroment?

I think it's OK to store it in an attic. Hot water is probably (or can be) higher than attic temps.
The coil of PEX sitting here next to my computer says 180F at 100PSI, 73F at 160PSI. Presumably unpressurized it can exceed 180F by some amount.
Ordinary hot water is generally 120-140F.
PEX
They store the stuff in unconditioned wharehouses and storage shed at the supply house all the time.
It is sunlight Pex doesn't like.
