strange pipe in my way

Today I came across two 3/4″ MPVC side by side while digging a hole fore a post footer. I came across them after only a foot. I have never heard of MPVC high pressure pipe (200psi). The current home owner has no clue what they are for. I can only think the former owner had a sprinkler system or something of the sort. This is why I turn to my trusting friends at breaktime. Anyone know what I am looking at?

    Your profile dosent say where you are but it sounds like a sprinkler pipe not quite inside the property line

    Seen it before or its a cable inside a pipe for protection seen that also ( former small shed supply , not to code )
