I work for a contractor and wanted to know if anyone has used the Stanley/Bostitch StrapShot nail gun and was it effective? Thanks for the reply.

Which gun is that? The contractor building my branch is using some kind of air nailer that shoots real short hardened nails, fastening the metal stud track to the concrete. No wait, it's called Trak-something. Seems to work real well. Nails are about 1" long. They also used it to shoot track to angle iron. Punched right through.

Bought it.
Loved it.
Bought another one.
Reviews of that gun are generally quite good. The new JLC has a short piece on it. It only shoots the 1-1/2" nails, but apparently they are coming out with a new model that shoots the 2-1/2" also. I have the Hitachi and like it a lot, it is a huge timesaver. If I bought another I might consider the short magazine (they make two versions).
If you get one of these guns you'll wonder how you did without it.
Hey Dave,
Just did a search for this gun and was happy to see you posted. I bought the gun earlier today, but I may return it if they have that 2 1/2 " on the market already. I have to research it. Did you get my email?
