Have not used the product you request but do yourself a favor and take a chance with your own spelling. This spell check here brutalizes your post. Best of luck.
*James: We have used no coat for a couple of years. We have used very few metal corners since. The inside corners are very easy to use. The outside corners take a little getting use to. For us it was difficult to keep the corner "even on both sides". I finally made a corner tool that we run over the top and it places the no-coat even on both sides of the corner. No coat seems to us to build the corner up more than a metal corner, but for us the ease of installation and the strength of the system makes it worth it for most of our applications.Ron
*yea i noticed that the spell check option is a no go, just wanted it to be correct, i see now that it just buchered my post, thanks for the input.
*There must be a zillion "better mousetraps" for this! I have tried the vinyl/paper Ultraflex recently (works great, much too expensive at 50¢/ft -- used it for very obvious areas and where I botched the drywall joint), Trim-Tex vinyl (about 20¢/ft), metal corner bead of course... No-Coat has great strength as a selling point, right? If you need it. (Use a moulding!)The tradeoffs are cost, labor, durability, looks. I don't see the point of putting too much effort into inside corners, other than appearance, but I'm awful new at this. Or maybe just awful....Share your instinctual dislike of drywall ... but it is more satisfying now ...
*JLC did a <a href=http://www.jlconline.com/jlc/archive/interiors/fast_drywall_finishing/> full article on no-coat products -- makes you wonder how much advertising no-coat buys there... Company calls home http://www.no-coat.com
