Morning All, I’am trying to bring a Forced Air, Propane furnace back into operation. It has been turned off for ten years. Brand is Day/Night, electronic ignition, symptons are/is, I turn the T-stat up, Pilot will light, burners will light, and then after about 20 seconds, the burners drop off ( ie flame height dimishes), then go out completely, furnace then goes thru same process, over and over. Note, I cleaned entire unit, including burners, everthing looks good, ie wiring, and general condition of unit. Any suggestions much appreciated… Jim J ps- tenant moved out after ten years and used the wood stove, new tenant wants the convience of furnace.

No direct experience with such a unit, but I suspect that the flame sensor isn't working. I vaguely recall tales of cleaning it with steel wool or some such.
Clean the flame sensor with a green scubby...

Good Evening Dan H. and IMERC, I thank you, I will assume the Flame sensor is located in the vicinity of the Pilot light. Jim J

Got it, sounds like it real similiar to a thermocoupling, except in this case, no standing pilot no thermocouple. Electronic ignition, flame sensor.. thanks again!! Jim J
