My wife and I have bought a 1912 two storey house which has been covered in an asphalt siding, similar to but larger than roof shingles. It is mostly in good shape but the house would look a whole lot better in stucco. Does anyone have any ideas about whether we can apply the stucco with the shingles in place or if we need to remove them?
We’re in Southern Alberta, annual temperatures go from -30 to +30, we get some snow in winter and very little rain. The house has been retro-fitted with blown cellulose insulation.
Help!!
