ive started to expose the foundation on a home i just bought…and realized my house sits in a hole…
the ground is supercompact sand…the stuff you can drive on at the beach..
should i really cut the area around my home so my yard is nice and flat…
i looked at purchising 4 tons of flat iron rock (average 4″),price 1200 bucks
how far will two pallets go.. i guess i need a 2 foot wall 100 feet long.
or should i just leave it be and worry about other things…
thanks
tj

here are some pics i would say it sits in more of a half round gutter with the house
sitting in the deepend
In picture 36 it sure looks like the ground slopes toward your house. That's not good. I think your idea of digging a flat area and building a retaining wall is good. Just be sure you build a proper wall.

4000 lbs of rock doesn't cover much, the only time it's seems like a lot is when your wheelbarrowing it around the yard. larry
hand me the chainsaw, i need to trim the casing just a hair.
