I am putting a suspended ceiling in a small room (12X12) in a very old church. Shot a laser line and floor and ceiling have a 4″ drop over 12′ (knew it was off but not that much). Would it make sense to hang the ceiling out of level to match? It looks like it would be less noticeable that way rather than having the trapezoid walls, or would the 4″ difference in wall height be less of a problem?

I'd hang it level just because it's easier. I don't think anyone would notice the ceiling not being parallel with the floor, because in most rooms there's furniture and stuff on the floor.
Thanks Unc, makes sense. That's what I was thinking, I was just doing a sanity check.
