I’ve just recently built a pergola out of doug. fir.
I coated it with Sikkens 1 and 2,3
Now some of the wood is sweating sap, I tried paint thinner but it doesn’t do to well.
Any ideas? Should I just wait till the sap hardensand chip it off, or will it take forever to harden?

Leave it alone until winter - then you can chip/scrape it off. Next year, same again.

Denatured alcohol will take it off easily.
and then seal it with shellac. If the paint is a light color, you can used the white pigment shellac from Zinnser.
