I want a good system to gang cut rafters.I am having a hard time finding a saw that will cut a deep enough seat. why cant skill make a 10” rafter saw.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "rafter" saw but Milwaukee makes a 10-1/4" circular saw, #6460, as does Makita, #5201. Makita still makes their 16" beast, #5402, which has a 6-3/16" capacity at 90 degrees.

Have you looked into the Prazzi "Beam cutter"? I`ve never worked with it but it looks like just the ticket.

"DO IT RIGHT, DO IT ONCE"
I think a saw that can read blueprints, calculate each rafter, cut them all and haul them into position would be a big seller.
Now that we solved the rafter problem, why can't they make a tool sort of like those solar powered lawnmowers that mow your lawn all on their own. The difference is that this tool would circle around the jobsite, picking up scraps and sawdust, loading nailers and fetching coffee (oh, and marking rafters).
I bet if Dewalt came up with one, you guys would stop picking on them.
