T & G PVC Bread board
Anyone have any experience with T & G PVC bead board?
Fastening suggestions I.e. Blind nail or screw?
Any glue used?
Any problems with expansion?
Thanks

I've used a lot of Azec beadboard as wainscot in bathrooms, blind nailed. Some on porch ceilings same.

I used it on my own front porch ceiling, approx. 6' x6'. I nailed it thru the tongue just like I would with wood, using an 18 ga. brad gun. No glue.
Looks great- no painting.
I put up a couple a thousand square feet on a single house for porch ceilings.
Use polyurethane glue, stainless brads and everything was good.... except a few pieces turned out to be a different color/sheen. Wasn't supposed to be painted but it had to be.
What length brad?Poly on rafters or on the tongue?
Brad on tongue, don't remember exact length 1 1/2" I guess. We started with finish nails but it blew off the tongue
Glue on rafter.
On the brittle side.
Blind nail is good. 1 9/16" SS brads.
We always paint it after installation.
Azek glue (or Bond'n'fill) on the end joints. If you don't, you'll get huge shrinkage. Don't glue the tongues though, you want the boards to move with temperature swings.
Azek also offers this in 4x8 sheets........
