Hello –
Been looking into adding a pulldown attic stair in our carport, which has a ceiling height about 11′.
Obviously a regular one will not work and I haven’t come across a taller one in any of the “large” stores.
Is there such a beast ?

Engineered materials and vacuum-press laminations prevent warping and keep a tall, flush-panel door from being excessively heavy.

Alan - I think that you'll find what you need, including pricing, by clicking here. Sorry that you had to wait seven minutes for an answer.

*If you don't have the room up top for the bessler stair, most attic stair cos. have models that fit in higher ceiling applications. I don't have the brand handy, but like the aluminum HD unit in my shop. Sturdy, not hard to operate and easy to install. The Bessler's are nice if you have the room for it to disappear in the attic. They go up/down easier yet. No folding to deal with.
*Home Despot in my area carries a wood one that will extend to 11 feet.
*Thanks, gentlemen !I like that Bessler unit.I have a friend who lives in a fairly substantial house with that type of stair.May be a bit overkill for our modest home with a low pitched hip roof. Will have to be a more inquisitive at HD, I suppose. It is good to know taller units are available.Take care,Alan
