All,
If you have any knowledge of tankless H2O heaters I would like to have some input, please.I am doing some research for a customer and need to know which brand/model you would rank as one ot the top 3 units, both gas and electric fired. I am looking at units with a minimum flow rate of 5 – 6 gpm with incoming water at 60 degrees.
Thanks,
dlb

I did a bunch of research and got a Takagi TK1s. $1000 at Ira Wood Inc. I still have not had a chance to install the dam thing!
I have used a Bosch tankless gas heater for about a year and a half -- it is, for the most part, fantastic. No problems aside from it's sometimes tough to regulate the temperature when you want to take a cool shower in the summer.
I have a 125, which is fine for my wife and I, but would probably go with the 250X -- the next version up, as it has more capacity. (I am awaiting arrival of a 250 for another house I'm restoring.)
The high efficiency has lowered my gas bills significantly, and it sure is nice to have an unlimited supply of hot water.
You can probably get some good info at the following site: http://www.water-professor.com/
There are zillions of comments on tankless water heaters in the archives. It is a frequent topic. You will find interesting reading there.
I love my Bosch Aquastar 125. It's cheap to run and so farhas been reliable. The company that distibutes them is in Waitsfield, Vt. I can't recall the name.... Good luck.
We love our SEISCO electric. Plenty of water, hot as you can stand it. Had it working for thrr yrs now. Sucks down the power grid like mad for a few seconds, but not a problem.
