I would imagine all of the major software packages are reliable and intuitive. I use TurboTax Basic. It's easy to use and does everything I need.

I have used TaxCut for a number of years.
While the programs a good job you still need to understand the basics of what if going on, althrough not the details of all of the calculations.
A lot depends on your situation and your understanding of the tax rules for that situation.
If you have done similar returns in the past then the software is a GREAT IMPROVEMENT.
I took the H&R block tax course last fall. Was thinking of part time work for this this year, but then I got busy with other things.
But all of the excersizes where done by hand. Since it had been maybe 20 years since I had done ones by hand, and those where very simple, I was surprised at the number of cross form linking and how important the order of the sequnece was, and the under of worksheet calculations that are all handled automatically by the software.
