We’ve got a potential client with a two story porch on the front of the house. The entire area will be covered with a roof and a 12″ overhang.
I’m interested in using Tendura for the flooring (laid tight) with a slope of 1/4″ per foot. Will there be a problem with enough water collecting to give the soffit on the ceiling of the first level a problem, or will the Tendura combined with the pitch allow any significant water to run off?
Are there any alternatives that I’m not considering?

I wouldn't count on the Tendura as a water barrier by itself. You're going to need something else in there.
how about calling up Tendura's tech support and asking them? You might be able to get away with installing some poly under the Tendura, but I don't know how that would effect the warrantee.
Tendura prefers to have full ventilation under the product

I wasn't sure. That's why I suggested he contact Tendura.
good to know, tho.
I like the stuff. Used it on my own front porch.
Short of vert. grain T&G fir, I can't think of anything better to use on a porch deck.
It is nice

How long has it been installed?
I've been thinking of using it but don't know anyone who has used it to get a report from.

I installed mine 4 years ago.
Due to sloth, and a strong dislike of painting, its's still unfinished.
But it's held up very well. I'd use it again.
I might even get it painted one of these days.
The tendura is a deck material, not a roof material - yes it will leak.
Also, you mention laid tight. I assume you mean that you think fitting it tightly will lessen the chences of water leaking. Not so. More than likely, you will cause other problems, like swelling too much in summer and buckling.

I called a local supplier for pricing and they told me the prefinished (grey) is much less expensive than the primed. I asked the supplier if I could paint the prefinished material and he said "I think so."
Which do you use ?
carpenter in transition
I used the grey and yes it can be painted

Seal-O-Flex the pitched deck; tendura on reverse-tapered sleepers laid on that.
