My apologies for my tardy responses to all replies!
Home base for me is near the small town of Everett ~ 1 hr. NW of Toronto, ~ 40 min. SSE of Barrie. (Distances for me seem better stated as a function of time-on-the -road due to the unpredictable nature of traffic & road conditions that always seem to disturb my best laid plans.)
Due to a simple cold which developed into “ACUTE TITUS MEDIA” (Medico-speak for an Ear Ache) I have been somewhat less than my normal self for the past few months. After my left eardrum burst from excessive internal pressure it seems to have left me with the unpleasant side effect of 0 auditory function on that side as well as a nasty balance problem related to inner ear induced vertigo. Although the prognosis for any return of auditory function is now slim-to-nil, I’m advised that my regimen of trans-tympanic injections and therapeutic walking will eventually reduce the vertigo problem. If I should ever happen to lapse into the by now immortal Canadian EHH? during conversation , I now have somewhat of an excuse!
I have been able to begin working outside again and will apologize in advance for any & all my upcoming delays to future message responses. It seems that now I’m more healthy than last month, I have even less time to visit this forum!
Thanks to all for the salutations!

Stainless, sorry to hear about your problems. You just never know when something is going to rear up and bite you in the butt (or ear, in this case).
Hope things get back to nearly normal as soon as possible. On the bright side, you now have an ear to turn towards your wife (Gives you an excuse not to listen to her) :)
My BIL uses it to GREAT effect. When their kids were babies, he apparently would bury the good ear in the pillow so that she'd have to get up when a baby was fussing at 2 AM. Although... after a couple weeks of this, she developed sharp elbows which negated the good-ear-in-the-pillow trick. So use it with moderation. ; )
