I am an architect living in California who is looking to a locate a film called (I think) “The Japanese Carpenter”. It was a documentary about a Japanese carpenter demonstrating the construction of a house with traditional tools and joinery. I saw it in an architectural school class back in 1970. It was a very beautiful film and I’m trying to locate it for a friend who’s hoping to build a house with traditional methods in mind. I’ve searched the internet and can’t come up with much of anything so I’m hoping this will be in somebody’s memory. Thanks.
