After reading the framing nailer survey, I bought (on line from out-of-state) a new Makita coil nailer model AN901. Problem: I live in rural southern Colorado and I cannot find nails! The best response I’ve had so far is a fastener supplier in Pueblo, CO who says he “thinks” he has nails that will work. Makita’s website is no help (you can’t even e-mail them). Does anyone one know from personal experience what other brands of nails might fit properly? Any suggestions from those who use such a nailer will likely be much more helpful than the non-help I’ve gotten so far from Makita’s 800 number and calls to various other yards and tool stores. Thanks!

Joe - Why don't you look into also purchasing nails online the way you bought the gun?
You should ahve no problem finding what you want at one of many online dealers.

*Thank you for offering a suggestion. The retailer I purchased from is in Wash. state and the shipping charges are almost as much as the nails. However, I did get a response from Makita today and the faxed me a list of nails (other brands) that will work in my nailer. Thanks again, Joe
