We have an election. Both candidates claim victory.
Which votes are recounted is decided based on what political party the votes will most likely support.
Several judges rule on the election and they rule, not accoridng to the law but according to the political party they belong to.
Although there are laws in place to decide these things, one of the candidates attempts to negotiate with the other on how the election should be decided. Apparently they have the authority to decide.
This may be the beginning of the end, not because of this election but because we’re reached the point where the law is of no consequence, the judges and the elected (or almost elected) do as they please and make their own rules.
Our constitution prevents the govt from seizing property without a trial…unless a local government finds a joint in your car. Our constitution makes it illegal for the government to infringe on the right to own a gun…unless they want to. Our constitution makes it the job of the legislature to write laws…unless some judge wants to legislate from the bench. Our constitution requires that laws are only enacted by a majority of the congress and senate…unless some regulatory agency writes it and calls it a “regulation” and not a law.
I’m afraid the United States of America is no more. So will it simply fall appart like the USSR or will it be lost to armed revolt of the people?
