I didn’t want to do it…. but they forced me into it. That’s right, Taunton messed with the wrong guy! The NERVE of them, failing to keep these boards in tip-top shape and accessible around the clock. AND, to top it off, LOSING all that GOOD stuff!! We even have to start the “Great Summertime Get Together” all over again. What a waste.
So, I jumped ship for a while, just to see if there was anything out there.
There was… and if you haven’t already done so, go over to the business board at http://remodeling.hw.net
The rest of their boards can’t hold a candle to FHB but the folks posting to the business board have a lot to say regarding the present and future of our livelihoods. I personally think the topics are food for thought and discussion right here at home central. Anybody up to it?

Ralph, tough speed read there bud. And you want me to hit another site... all in 5 seconds! For general infomation, there's a handful of good sites, some cater to specific endeavors, others like here, to a broad spectrum.
Now, if Taunton could only get someone to host the boards, who won't kick the plug! The crash before was rumored to be a Windows/Unix problem... you reboot Windows, you never reboot Unix... we'll see what the explanation is this time.
*Hey guys, just popping over from Cook's Talk to see what everbody else has to say about the problem - seeing as we were all in this one together. What's that about a Windows/Unixi faux pas? The only info I got was the generic "server crash." I do feel for them though, it can't have been a fun couple of days for Ruth or Larry either.
*Ralph: I have followed some of the posts at that site and do find them interesting. Have you looked at the "Business" section of BT? Some of the same things are being discussed there.......(or were)Mikeps. went to the library and got "Emyth Revisited" per Sonny, its got some good points, wish I read it 25 years ago, but never too late.
*During the recent crash I tried to get in thru the "site map". On one of the pages that came up I noticed the date"January 1, 192000"Wow, did I ever sleep!!!!!!!!! Was I that bad on New Years Eve.!!!!!?????
*Ron, I saw the same thing... it really wasn't the pitcher of b-52s!
*Geez, when I saw it it said 191000. .. guess they's goin backerds! Seems appropriate somehow, bein New Englanders and all!!-pm
